Naf Skrilla is the self -proclaimed and undisputed 'Best Rapper from UK '. It is a bold statement we can naturally expect from a true character such as Naf. Growing up in the crime-infested Stonebridge Estates of North West London, Naf appears to be one of the few of his generation who made it thankfully to adulthood alive, free and better yet, successful.
Musically, his career started as a child and his versatility and eclectics can be compared only to the legends of music. He was born into a musical family and was encouraged to hold the microphone and perform songs written for him by his older brother Dolomite. This was the era when Jamaican reggae sound systems where inner-city mainstream music and Naf was at the forefront - as a child.
His celebrity status and enlarged ego as a respected young entertainer made him difficult to control and his teachers labelled him as 'troublesome'. This eventually resulted in Naf being sent to a special school for 'bad' kids. Naf admits he was very troublesome as a boy but he has come along way since then. His spiritual development has changed him into a force of positive energy; his physical development has changed him from an overweight kid to a well-toned fitness fanatic setting sights on qualifying for London 2012 Olympics. His musical development speaks for itself when you go through his mass catalogue which is made up hundreds of tracks.
In the world of business his corporate skills have served him well over the last 5 years as Managing Director of Skrilla Enterprises Limited. The company was set up when the decision was made to pursue a solo career in music and over 1000 mixtapes a week are sold on his distribution. Now the company explores and trades in new markets such as film production, diamond jewellery, clothing, chocolates, perfume, consumer electronics, domain names and web hosting.
The official release of the debut single 'Call Me' is set for December 23rd 2008, the track and video can be found at www.nafskrilla.com.
